Home One Service Team Volunteers For The Toys For Tots Community Drive

Toys for Tots is a program that ever since 1947 the United States Marine Corps Reserve has run, which distributes toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas. Volunteers, who want to help with this good cause, can support the collection and distribution of toys in the community.

At Home One Services, we were impressed with the program and believed we would get so much satisfaction knowing that the children in need would have presents to open on Christmas! So we decided to become a Toys for Tots drop off location ever since we opened our business.

And we have gained so much pleasure and reward from serving the community in this way that our employees also decided to volunteer for this wonderful cause and help distribute the toys at a local warehouse.

Volunteer duties for the Toys For Tots program consist of escorting the parents as they choose the gifts for their children, assisting them at the station where they can have their gifts wrapped, and also helping them with carrying the gifts to their vehicles in the parking lot.

Our dedicated and passionate team is very gratified to be able to participate in an event such as this, so for the past 2 years they have been volunteering at the Toys For Tots drive, as well.

This was the 2nd year in a row that the helpful team at The Home One Service has volunteered for Toys for Tots, and it really put us all in the Holiday Spirit! We are certain that there will be many more years where we’ll be involved and giving back to the community in this rewarding way.
