Our Latest Project

At Home One, we love projects! Small ones, large ones, complicated and challenging as well as simpler (for us, at least) projects – we welcome them all.

Here’s a look at one of the projects we just completed, just in time for our client to relax and enjoy the long 4th of July weekend.

The project involved flooring, ceiling, and pretty much everything in between.

First, the carpet and padding were removed and disposed of. Next we removed and disposed of drop ceiling, paneling, insulation and drywall ceiling.

It was then time for some electrical work; we ran wiring to 8 new recessed lights throughout the room and installed switches.

Next we moved to the attic, where we installed insulation.

Foam insulation was also installed within walls facing garage and front of the house.

Then we installed new drywall on walls and ceilings throughout the house.

Next we applied tape and 2 coats of compound to all seams and joints.

All drywall was then sanded to acquire smooth finish.

Then we installed new wood jambs around doors, as well as new casing and baseboard.

Now the wall of the living room was ready for us to build a shelf for the client’s collection of DVD’s.

Finally, we applied paint to all walls, ceilings and trims.

And voila ~ after one week, this 70ies home got a brand new look!

What’s more, the house is now more energy efficient!

This standard project was successfully completed by our own Josh, Mike, Steve, Jim, and Justin.
