No Shave November
Most of us have seen or heard of pictures and posts of various people showing their newly grown beard, or moustache, during the month of November. In case you are not familiar with it, here’s what it’s all about.
No Shave November – grow your hair or beard and grow cancer awareness.
The concept is simple. Many cancer patients lose their hair and by embracing our hair we can help raise the awareness, as well as donate the money we usually spend for a month on grooming, shaving, hair salons – which will be used to educate about cancer prevention, save lives, and aid those fighting the battle.
Everyone can participate by growing a beard, cultivating a mustache, and letting his or her hair grow wild and free. So, Home One crew decided to join in the movement this November.
“As a company we understand the importance of giving back to those who are in need. Each one of us here at Home One has either a family member or close friend who has suffered from an illness.
We are united in our desire and effort to help raise awareness to cancer, or any other illness or disease, and if we can do this by simply growing a beard – then we will do our best to incorporate that into our own No Shave November!
We hope that by doing so we will raise money to support a good cause and donate to the American Cancer Society. It is consoling knowing that the funds raised in this annual campaign get distributed to all the crucial areas in fighting cancer: research, prevention, education, and continuing care.
With every whisker grown and dollar raised, we can hopefully get closer to eradicating this disease that affects so many people.”
